I know, I know, I haven't posted anything in a month. I have no excuse - except maybe this.





Is this what they mean by attachment parenting?


Anyway, back to the past month.

Preston continues with his summer class and summer work. He sometimes shares interesting facts he learns about income tax law with me. For example, did you know that you are liable for taxes on property you steal? The good news though, is that if you return the stolen property before the end of the year you're off the hook. He also took a quick trip to New England for a wedding and to say a quick hello to the remaining New England Franzens.

I finished my second SAT test and................apparently didn't do much else.

Lauren cut three new teeth, went through the 9-month sleep regression, came out of it, went back into it when we left for a weekend, and decided that no other person, toy, book or movie is as nice to hang out with - or hang on to - as I am. She is extremely attached.

We spent a long weekend in Arizona for a mini-reunion. Lauren let go of me for a total of probably two minutes the whole trip. The one person she sort of warmed up to was Aunt Kim.

Anyone else who tried to hold her got to hear just how healthy her lungs are. Oh well. They all say they like her pouty face better anyway.

We enjoyed a ride on the boat, swimming in Aunt Kelli's pool, and getting to know cousins Annie

and Emily.

Lauren entertained everyone with her cheesy grin for the camera.

We had a lovely time.
