Lauren has developed quite a little attitude lately. When she doesn't like what she's served for dinner, she picks up the pieces from her plate and moves them into the little cupholder on the side of her high chair tray. She has also developed an awful shriek that she uses to let us know she's upset with us. She's still terrified of the vacuum - if she even sees it, she hurries to the farthest corner of the house and cries until it's out of sight and sound. I started taking her to storytime at the library and we have been spending a lot of time outside. Lauren loves playing in the leaves. She also likes doing laps around the kitchen and counting to five. She has added "bubble" to her vocabulary - expanding it from just "apple" and "uh-oh" - and in general likes to wreak havoc everywhere she goes.
Preston volunteered at the Twin Cities marathon last week, handing out drinks at mile 3.
The picture is of Justice Page - Justice Page is from Canton, Ohio, played football on Notre Dame's national championship team, attended law school at the University of Minnesota while playing for the Vikings, has run many marathons, and is a current Associate Justice of the Minneosta Supreme Court. He doesn't run marathons anymore, but he does play his tuba along the race route.
Well, that's what we've been up to lately. What have you been up to?

I love hearing about Lauren's antics! So cute! Sounds like you guys are doing great. The only things with me is that I will be going to London for Thanksgiving to see my parents! Something to look forward to! Take care!
Who would have ever thought that Lauren would have an attitude?
At least she's neat about it! (Now, Macey just won't touch what she doesn't want, but she used to throw what she didn't want off the side of the chair... that was fun :)
It's so thoughtful of you to always ask what we're up to. Me? Oh, I've just been hanging out at the treehouse as usual.
