Outing

At our local library, you can check out a pass that gives you two free admissions to several local museums and attractions. Since Preston had a few days off this week, we wanted to get out, so we made our first outing to The American Swedish Institute. It is housed in a mansion in Minneapolis that was the home of one of the Twin Cities most well known Swedish immigrants, Swan J. Turnblad. He ran the largest Swedish language newspaper in the country, The Posten. It was really interesting to see the house and experience some of the Swedish culture. Lauren's blonde hair and blue eyes got a lot of attention as well.

How could Lauren not get tons of attention? Looks like a fun day.
